I spent my weekend helping my friend clean the new cottage she and her husband just bought. The cottage was rented out to many people over the years, until finally the owners decided to sell it, they didnt want the responsibility anymore of cleaning up after some of the young party renters. And i dont blame them, my goodness, the place was a disaster on the inside!
There was dried candle wax on the wall, crayon all over the walls and tables, makeup on the mirror, and on the bathroom vanity, everything was dirty and grimy. The shower tiles were gross. The place is very beautiful, not really any serious damage, it just really needed a good cleaning.
I stood in the hallway looking at the bucket of cleaning supplies, wondering what to use that would get crayon and makeup off the walls and mirror. I decided to try the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser(original formula, not extra strength) and hoped it would 'erase' everything.
I was surprised at how this little sponge easily removed crayon! A couple of swipes and poof! Gone! Of course i had to add a little elbow grease, it didnt work that magically! Next the mirror, poof! Gone! Not even a streak! I highly recommend this for mirrors and windows b/c of the lack of streaking! The grimy, slimy bathroom tiles, poof! Gone! No more soap scum and other buildup! The bathroom was actually sparkling white. And bright, boy was the bathroom ever bright!
The magic erasers can be used to remove scuffs, used on baseboards, almost anywhere! They even make one for cars and tire rims.
The only downfall, it comes apart after only a few uses, but that could depend on the mess it's cleaning, i doubt for a normal cleaning situation without so much dirt and grime it would come apart like that. This was the first time i tried them, but i will be repurchasing to try in my home and i will update.
