It's one of those programs that would have passed and went - perhaps too quickly at that - that is, from my computer, quite simply because I found this certain program to be of no use. Don't let the oh-so-attractive interface fool you; as much of a good program it may come off to you as, there's another one around that happens to be almost an exact clone of it, which came to me as a surprise, thinking that there could be a possible 'scam' involved if I were to pay such money for this piece of software.
"Exactly why is it that you find this product to be mediocre?" you may ask - simply because of how ineffective it turns out to be in the end. I had tried this from top to bottom on a friend of mine's computer (she wasn't too aware of there being other programs that do the same thing - just better, available), and in the end, I was highly disappointed due to the simple fact that I have been following Xilisoft's products in the past - which have turned out to be rather decent. The main reason why I consider this to be nothing but a piece of junk is because of how unbelievably slow it converts those DVD's that you've been longing to see on your computer (especially if they aren't yours - for example, a borrowed DVD from a friend that you have been DYING to see); and no, this task was not performed on a computer with an insufficient amount of RAM - the conversion process was attempted on a computer that consisted of an adequate amount of hard drive space, as well as 2 GB's of RAM.
Compared this to Magic DVD Ripper, and basically, for the sake of getting straight to the point, Magic put this one to serious shame (without even needing to incorporate any tricks, so to speak). Despite the very wide range of different formats that the program enables you to convert to, it's really not worth it if you ask me ("it" of course refers to time, money, experimenting, research and whatnot just in case you happen to be curious by any chance). Avoid this at all costs - fact of the matter is, there are MUCH better ones out there!
