Yes to Cucumbers Facial Mask is 98% natural, hypoallergenic, and paraben-free. It contains Dead Sea mud, cucumbers, and aloe to calm and soothe facial skin. It claims to gently cleanse and detoxify the skin. A 1.7oz. recyclable plastic jar of the product costs $14.99 at Target.
It's a pretty small jar, but I've had this one for several months, and it's about half full. A thin layer is all you need. I should point out, however, that I am not always consistent about using it on a weekly basis. I'd venture to guess that, for someone who follows a meticulous skin care regimen, this jar would probably last about a month and a half, maybe two months.
This mask works like most facial masks. According to the directions, a thin layer of Yes To Cucumbers Facial Mask should be a applied to a freshly cleansed face. Just like any other facial mask, you are advised to avoid the eyes and mouth during product application. After allowing the mask to dry for five minutes, simply rinse off with warm water. If desired, a wash cloth may be used. (I find it easier to remove the mask with a wash cloth. When I just splash warm water over it, it takes much longer to thoroughly remove the mask).
At this point, I want to state that I gave the product a low rating in 'wrinkle reduction' and 'discoloration reduction', but in all fairness, the product doesn't claim to do either. In other words, Yes To Cucumbers Facial Mask doesn't claim to have any anti-aging capabilities, but I had no idea what other category a facial mask should be placed in. Given the category choices, 'anti-aging' seemed most appropriate, so I apologize for any confusion.
Overall, I am very pleased with the product. I love that it's a natural, paraben-free product. I love that it takes only five minutes. (You know those nights when you fall into bed too exhausted to wash the daily grime off your face? Well, this is an excellent product to use the next morning, when you're seeing the effects of having slept in yesterday's make-up, and you're in a rush to get ready for work). I also love the Yes To line for not testing on animals.
A percentage of profits for Yes To productsare contributed to the Yes To Seed Fund, which is a non-profit organization that helps provide communities in our country with healthy food. The organization provides education and resources for planting and maintaining local gardens.
I use this mask when it seems that my skin is a little irritated and in need of a boost. Yes To Cucumbers Facial Mask leaves my skin feeling soft and refreshed. With such ingredients as vitamin E, spinach leaf extract, broccoli extract, rosemary leaf extract, olive fruit extract, and avocado oil, it's like a 5 minute, antioxidant-packed treat for the face.
