I have been at my current job for over 20 years. When I first started, my boss, the controller and office manager, told me I could only use blue or red ink when I had to code paperwork for her. Well, she is the boss, and as long as I was supplied with the "proper" colors and I get a paycheck every week, who was I to complain. The pen of choice which I have been supplied with for the past 5 years or so is the PaperMate Profile Retractable Pen. I have to say it has come to be the favorite pen of all that I have used throughout the years.
**It has a soft comfort grip which really helps when I am coding papers for any length of time.
**It has a bold 1.4mm tip which not only makes my writing clear and easy to read but I don't need to put any pressure on the pen to make it write smoothly.
**The pen is retractable so when not in use I can click back the tip and prevent any ink marks on other items on my desk.
**I have found that this pen doesn't gob out ink as have many in the past.
We purchase these in packs of 20 from Sam's Club and each pen comes out to be only 50 cents. The pack comes in a variety of colors, 10 black (these go to my boss as this is "her" color), 6 blue and 2 red which come to me, and 2 purple which go out to the shop.
I would recommend these for office or home use and if you are able to purchase them in the 20 pack they will last you quite some time.
