Hi Friends, I guess I am one of the millions of people all over the world who say they need to quit smoking. I have been a smoker for, well let's just say I have been smoking for a long time. I have quit once before while I was pregnant and 2 years after. I don't know what made me start back but there I was 12 years later still saying " I need to quit". I was in the pharmacy one day and I tried this gum by Nicorette. I have to say it was not as bad tasting as I would have imagined. I thought it would have tasted like licking an ashtray, but to my surprise it was very fresh and minty tasting. But even more to my surprise it actually worked, I would just pop in a piece of this gum instead of lighting up, it was really hard at first. I accompied this with other diversion tactics and soon I found myself forgetting about the smoke and the gum. It took about a month, and I still want the occasional smoke, but for the most part I have given up the smoke. I have to also say I do feel for anyone who is about to attempt this as it was very hard for me in the beginning, so get the gum and lots of diversions. You can make it just stick with it.
