Blast Corps is one of the most unique games ever to come to the Nintendo 64. Your goal is simple: destroy everything in the way of a truck transporting rockets. If you don't destroy things in time, the truck runs into it, blows up, and it's game over. Simple concept, but how well does it follow through? Graphics are pretty good for their time. Every vehicle looks like that vehicle, and the enviroments are nice. Only thing is that the enviroments are also a little bare. You have trees, fences, streets, but not much else. The sound isn't really too relevant in the game. It has a few songs that will probably get your adrenaline pumping as you bulldoze through some buildings. Nothing amazing though. What also makes this game unique for the time and system is the inclusion of in-game speech. A woman will congratulate after completing a mission by actually saying "You're just trying to impress me" or any of the other various lines in her repitour. You're given a variety of destruction vehicles and must discover how to use it to destroy what it is in the way of the carrier. It's unique and fun, but there aren't too many missions, so it seems a little short. Still, this is one of the most underrated games on the system. Check it out! You won't regret it!
