A relative of mine gave this to me to protect a pair of sunglasses. The funny thing is, I use this to sheathe my $0.97 shades by Old Navy. That always makes me laugh when I think about it.

It closes easily with a velcro closure in the center. The outside is smooth and soft. It is made from leather. It was made in Italy. Usually, I do not like soft cases to protect sunglasses or eyeglasses. They just don't make sense to me. Sure, they are great at protecting lenses from scratches, but what if you left them out and someone went and sat on them? Shatter City!

Hard cases seem like the best option to me. They protect against scratched lenses and crushed glasses. That being said, I had to take this case when I was offered it! First of all, it was a free sunglass case and I needed one. How could I say no? Secondly, it's by Yves St. Laurent. The fashion geek in me is squealing in my head as I write this.

Though for the most part, I am pro-hard case, I really like this soft sunglass case. My sunglasses stay scratch-free in there. I find that it is quite protective, as long as I don't leave it out for anyone to squish it! I like that this case is nice and light. A con of hard cases as opposed to soft cases is that they can be heavy.
