Well, we got this new player for Christmas and although we do not have an HDTV this is still just an amazing player and the quality of the video and audio is truly amazing. If you remember VHS, going from DVD to HDVD is like going from VHS to DVD. YES!! It's that big of a deal!!

Oh and did I mention it cost about 1/8th of the price of the CHEAPEST Blu-Ray player.... Yep, it's under $50!! Most normal DVD players cost more than that. This is a very thin/flat and light weight player. This is replacing a very cheap but quality DVD player.

Ok, first of all, you are probably thinking..."This is cheap, it's from a brand that has had some problems in recent years, and oh yeah... IT'S CHEAP!" But then I would say, your wrong. This is a true high fidelity video player. It plays MP3, CD-R/RW, Windows Media, as well as, normal and HD DVDs.

This comes with an S-Video cable and standard AV cables (red, white, and yellow), oh and of course a remote control. HD cables have to be purchased seperate.

I have been really impressed by this little gizmo, as has my husband, whom is very tech savvy. If you are wanting to start breaking into HD DVD this is the perfect starter system. But beware, about 10 major Hollywood Studios have agreed to go only Blu-Ray with future releases due to the ability to store more data. But again, this is the perfect high fidelity starter system.
