I bought this cymbal thinking "It's Zildjian, how could I possibly go wrong?" and became very nervous after reading some reviews of it. I had read that the ZBT line is a horrible line of cymbals, and the ZBT Rock line is even worse. I am actually very pleased with this cymbal. It has a nice, bright sound to it (I was expecting a darker tone, however), and cut's through the mix nicely. It was much louder than I had expected, honestly. It seems well-constructed, though I've read many reviews of it cracking in about four months. My experiences with the ZBT Rock Crash differ quite a bit than most reviews though, so I'm honestly not too worried about that happening. The only thing I don't really like about this cymbal is that you have to hit it pretty hard to get a nice, "crash" tone out of it. It's the best crash you'll be able to get for the price, but, it's a decent cymbal that lived up to, and even passed the expectations I had for it. I'd recommend this crash to any beginners looking for a nice, cheap, crash cymbal with a bright, cutting tone to it.
